It is with gratitude and humility that I have arrived at the creation of State of Being Reiki and have decided to share my love for Reiki with my community! My journey with spiritual energy and divine consciousness began over 20 years ago. My personal experience with spiritual and emotional trauma (due to profound loss and grief), and years of debilitating physical pain led me to Reiki and now call it home. These experiences caused anxiety, depression and created a sense of disconnection from my physical body, internal self, and social spaces. I simultaneously became aware of my empathic tendencies. I realized that I sensed others’ pain and/or emotional imbalances and easily became overwhelmed. At first, I perceived this as a weakness since I did not know how to process these encounters and would be left feeling exhausted. However, my practice with Reiki has transformed this view, and I now see my sensitivity as a strength; an asset that I can utilize in the service of others. For this I am forever grateful.
I received my first Reiki Master Teacher Certification (CRMT) from the Reiki Colorado Academy in Boulder, Colorado. It was there that I learned, practiced, and assisted with teaching the principles of Reiki infused with theory and technique from the Barbara Brennan Energy Healing Science and Tibetan Buddhism. My background includes almost a decade of experience at an Ayurvedic clinic and intuition development at the Boulder Psychic Institute.
I received my Usui Reiki Ryoho Shinpiden Level III Certificate, and my Shinpiden III Post-Course Personal and Professional Certifications from the International House of Reiki, which researches and teaches the traditional Japanese System of Reiki. I will begin teaching the Usui Spiritual Energy Healing Method in January 2025 at the Mandala Integrative Medicine Clinic in Boulder.
I am honored to have the opportunity to be part of your spiritual and wellness journey. I believe this is sacred work. I approach it with integrity, confidentiality, and accountability. I commit to you that I will be doing my own soul work so that I may show up with pure energy, that is true to my being and will serve the highest good.
